There are two tabs on the top left-hand side of the form. Hot Lists is where your ‘Hot Lists’ are listed. ‘Branch Members’ is where you can find the members to add to your Hot List – Literary Agents/Agencies and Publishers.
How to use: Enter a name for your Hot List and click on Save. Then click on the Branch members tab. In the combo box above the tab you will see two listings - Publishers and Literary Agents.
To add a Branch member to your Hot List, select a member by clicking on its name. Then click on the green button pointing to the right hand side of the window. The member will then be copied to the ‘Hot List Members’ list view on the right hand side of the form. Repeat this process as desired. When you are satisfied with your list click on save.
You can move the members into a hierarchical order by clicking on the up or down green arrow on the right hand side of the form. When your Hot List next opens, your members will appear in the order you have saved them to. To remove a member from the list view on the right hand side of the form, click on the green arrow pointing to the left.
The Notes and Info tabs: The Notes field is for notes pertaining to the selected Hot List. The Info field is read-only, and shows the ‘Info’ data for the selected Hot List Member selected in the right hand side list view, be it a Agent/Agency or Publisher.
Add To: It is possible to add a Publisher or Agent/Agency to a Hot List direct from the Publisher or Agent/Agency window.
The image above is taken from the Agent/Agency form. The red book type icon in the middle of the toolbar is the “Add To’ button.
In the image below, the Hot List ‘Add To’ window has been open and the Agent/Agency can be added to the Hot List selected in the list view by clicking on the Save button.
